Our founder Barrie Wells MBE received the prestigious Chairman’s Award at the 2022 Sports Journalists’ Association Awards for his outstanding services to sport.
The awards evening was held at The Brewery in London on 8th December. As the longest standing sports awards of their kind in Britain, Barrie was recognised for both his sponsorship of World Class athletes and his charitable work through the Barrie Wells Trust.
Through Box4Kids the Barrie Wells Trust helps thousands of sick children and their families to enjoy trips to sports events that would have proved impossible without his support.
Recent winners of this prestigious award include the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Ellen White, so as a sports fanatic himself Barrie is absolutely delighted to be recognised for his contribution.
