As Marvel Universe came to life at The O2 Arena this month, many seriously ill children enjoyed the VIP experience of a lifetime thanks to donations from ISG, BDO, AEG Europe, Zenith Hygiene Group and Les Ambassadeurs Club.
The children and their guest were treated to unrivalled corporate hospitality whilst watching their favourite Marvel superheroes, such as Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and Spider-Man, in an action-packed and captivating show from private seats outside the box.
Many of the children took the opportunity to attend the event in face paintings or superhero costumes, and were thrilled to receive signed autograph cards sent from the production company, Feld Entertainment.
Hospitals and charities across the region helped nominate children for the occasion, including Evelina Children’s Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Royal Marsden Hospital, Shooting Star Chase, Teenage Cancer Trust, Sebastian Action Trust and Royal Alex Children’s Hospital in Brighton.
The joy of a Box4Kids event is not just for the children, but can also help families through difficult times. This was illustrated by one young boy who earlier the same afternoon had an MRI scan which confirmed he will need heart surgery – his dad said the thought of the treat of his son getting to watch Marvel in the evening had gotten the whole family through the day.
Another parent, who attended with her daughter, said, “Thank you so much for inviting my daughter Ellie and myself to the Marvel Universe Live show. We had an amazing time and enjoyed every moment. The hospitality was brilliant and we were made to feel so welcome by the hosts from the moment we arrived.
“The suite was fantastic – we have never had seats like that before. Ellie loved the food and all the other little touches (drinks, popcorn, programme etc). It all made her feel so special. Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. You have provided our family with some wonderful memories.”
